Practice Area - Personal Injury

Personal injury cases are when someone injures you as a result of their negligence. Negligence is a fancy word for someone not acting as a reasonable, prudent person would act. If someone does not act up to the standards of the community, they need to be held responsible for their actions and any injuries that they cause. As a former insurance adjuster, I can evaluate your case and can also provide you with my opinion about how the insurance company will evaluate your case - an important piece of information in deciding how to proceed with your case.

Practice Area - Insurance Coverage

Insurance coverage deals with two similar areas of law.
The first area involves the question: is a certain claim covered by insurance? While this may seem simple, insurance coverage issues are quite complex. The question of what is covered and what is not covered is involved and requires analysis of, not only the policy language, but also the customs of the industry.

The second area of insurance coverage is bad faith litigation. Basically, did your insurance company treat you properly? While insurance companies may not be nice, not every case rises to the level of bad faith. You need to determine if the insurance company put its own needs in front of your needs. Someone with the proper experience, looking at the issue from your side, but also from the view of an adjuster, can help you determine if you have a bad faith case and how to proceed.
